The subconscious, an integral part of consciousness, operates beyond focal awareness, influencing behavior without our conscious realization. It houses emotions within the chakras, shaped by early programming received during childhood. Often, our environment and upbringing shape our beliefs and behaviors, instilling limited notions of who we are and what we can achieve.
Just as different environments impact the growth of plants, our experiences and surroundings mold our thoughts and actions. Epigenetics exemplifies this, demonstrating how cells respond to their environment, ultimately altering their behavior and genetics.
As individuals, our perspectives and consciousness vary, affecting how we perceive and interact with our surroundings. Understanding the profound impact of our environment on our mind, body, and soul empowers us to reprogram our subconscious mind intentionally.
The conscious mind, or ego, reasons and protects us, sometimes hindering us from realizing our true selves. In contrast, the subconscious mind, often likened to the God mind, remains active, storing all memories and forming beliefs and habits from them. To enhance our lives, we must nourish the subconscious with positive and authentic thoughts and beliefs.
By learning to synchronize the conscious and subconscious mind, we embark on a transformative journey, releasing negative and traumatic emotions for a more fulfilling life experience. Unleash the power within, and let the harmony between these mind states guide you to a life of joy, growth, and self-realization.
How the subconscious is influenced.
The subconscious mind responds to what you tell it, or the conditioning passed down by others. It is constantly listening to the voice in our heads, our consciousness. In the case with the hot or cold room temperature, it is only hot or cold because you told yourself that it is. A great exercise to practice communicating with the subconscious mind is to tell yourself the opposite of what you’re thinking.
If you’re not living the life you desire, it is ultimately because you’ve somehow, subconsciously convinced yourself that it’s not possible, or you’re not deserving. These limiting thoughts can be absolved, but it’s going to take some work and reprogramming. Shutting down all the things people say you are, and the surface beliefs you tell yourself is the way to access your reality. Be true to yourself. Question your emotions and behaviors. Why do you behave the way you do? Are you truly projecting your inner self, or a fictitious, sculpted, rendition of who you think you are, and who you’re programmed to be? I know that’s a difficult thing to do, especially in these days when everyone claims to be “keeping it real, or 100”. But are you really?
To reprogram the subconscious, you must challenge yourself to do things in opposition to what you’ve been taught is the right way. Do what truly makes you feel free. What is residing within you? What are you yearning to express, but keep suppressed because of fear of criticism? Better yet, what are you criticizing yourself about, and making excuses for?
In your subconscious mind is the answer to the questions. You are in control of what you consider reality. Be in service to your divine mind, not your physical body.
Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind, and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality. – Earl Nightingale
Here are a few of the best methods to influence the subconscious mind.
Visualization
The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what’s real or imagined. The most influential language to the subconscious mind is pictures, images and symbols. In your mind you must create a vivid precise image of your desire. It is not necessary to focus on the details of obtaining the desire. Only focus on the end result. Monetary acquirements is not the main focus here, but for the sake of giving an example most can relate to. Let’s say you really want to upgrade your vehicle to a Mercedes Benz. Create a precise image in your mind of what color car you’d like. See yourself behind the wheel of the car. Visualize yourself picking up the family or friends, and taking them for a ride, or doing your daily routine functions, except, you’re doing them in your new Mercedes Benz. The subconscious doesn’t differentiate between past and future. It believes everything is happening in the now. Consistently create the images, and they will become reality. You attract what you think about constantly. But be careful in your thinking, only keep in your mind exactly what you desire, not what you don’t want, because the subconscious does not differentiate, your consciousness does.
Repetition
Positive self talk is vital. We talk to ourselves in our mind more than anyone else. Practice genuinely experiencing new thoughts and behaviours. Repeat these thoughts over and over in your mind throughout the day. These thoughts may be in the form of affirmations. For example; tell yourself, I have the power to be my very best at every moment, therefore I deserve the best. Repeat that to yourself consistently, every single day. The next thing you know, you’ll believe that without a doubt, and you’ll notice that what you believe to be the best of everything will be magnetized to you. Remember, you are the only one limiting your beliefs.
The subconscious mind also responds to strong emotions. Using the previous example of visualizing yourself in the new Mercedes Benz, you can take that a step further by not only seeing yourself in the car, but even feeling the excitement you’ll experience when you drive that car off the lot. Feel the wind in your hair while driving down the coast with the windows or the top down. Incorporate your emotions with your visualization to make an even stronger impact.
It’s imperative that you feel and believe your desires. It can be difficult to experience what we desire if it is in opposition to what we believe our reality to be. Your beliefs drive your behaviour. By staying emotionally present in the now, and through repetition, we can bring ourselves into our desired results.
Hypnosis
This is my favorite method of all for overriding the limiting beliefs of the subconscious mind.
Trauma
I don’t wish to refer to this as a conscious method, but our subconscious mind responds to high levels of energy. A major crisis, the passing of a loved one, or illness, can have profound impact on how we view life. Pleasant experiences such as a new found love or the birth of a child can also impact our subconscious, completely transforming our programmed ways of existence.
Benefits Of Connecting With The Subconscious Mind
Once you learn to access and value the power of the subconscious, you will be revealed a whole new reality with infinite possibilities. Your psychic experiences will be enhanced. Intuition occurs during the conversing between the conscious and the subconscious mind. Every situation you encounter will give insight to the value in how it affects your life. You will reconnect to your higher self, and cease to limit your perspective to the downside of the outcome, therefore placing yourself in direct alignment with enlightenment.
